The agreement gives partners in Singapore and Malaysia access to Wasabi’s cloud storage portfolio alongside Tech Data’s local support, enablement and channel services.
Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company, has announced a new distribution agreement with Wasabi Technologies to expand access to cloud storage, data protection and cyber-resilience solutions for partners across Singapore and Malaysia.
The partnership expands Tech Data’s cloud and data management portfolio, enabling resellers and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to address customer requirements around AI, backup, archive, Disaster Recovery and ransomware protection. Wasabi provides cloud object storage for AI, analytics, enterprise applications, cyber-resilience and cloud-native workloads.

Through the agreement, partners will have access to Wasabi’s cloud storage portfolio alongside Tech Data’s Tech Center of Excellence, partner enablement resources, cloud marketplace capabilities, financing options and local billing and support services. These resources are intended to help partners develop and deliver AI, cloud storage, backup and cyber-resilience solutions.

Tech Data will distribute Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage, an S3-compatible object storage platform for frequently accessed data. The portfolio also includes Wasabi Cloud NAS for file-based workflows and Wasabi Surveillance Cloud, together with integrations with backup and recovery providers including Veeam, Commvault and Rubrik.
Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage includes a pricing model intended to provide greater predictability around storage costs. Its S3 compatibility supports migration and integration with existing applications, backup platforms and workflows, while security capabilities include object lock, immutability and versioning to support data protection and ransomware resilience.
