Sama X, an authorised Starlink global reseller with a local presence and flexible business model, is set to launch in Bahrain after securing a licence from the country’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA). The company will deliver SpaceX’s Starlink connectivity to users across the Kingdom.
The launch supports Sama X’s vision to simplify access to digital prosperity through next-generation satellite connectivity. Serving professionals, enterprises and public sector organisations, the company aims to enhance high-speed Internet access across Bahrain, both on land and in national waters. Using Starlink’s low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellite constellation, Sama X will provide reliable primary or backup connectivity, particularly in hard-to-reach locations.
“Bahrain stands as a beacon of technological progress and innovation within the region and we are honoured to play a role in advancing this legacy,” said Amit Somani, CEO of Sama X. “Starlink’s revolutionary LEO technology enables unparalleled connectivity for businesses and communities alike – regardless of location.”
SpaceX’s Starlink is the world’s most advanced satellite internet constellation, offering fibre-like speeds without reliance on ground-based infrastructure. As an authorised reseller, Sama X provides an end-to-end service including consultation, installation and 24/7 support in English and Arabic.
Aligned with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, Sama X aims to support sustainable development and technological leadership by making reliable Internet connectivity a foundation of national progress.
Sama X is part of Alghanim Industries Group, one of the largest privately held companies in the Middle East, bringing regional expertise and resources to Bahrain’s connectivity landscape.
