Veeam completes acquisition of Securiti AI to create the industry’s first trusted data platform for accelerating safe AI at scale

Veeam Software, a  leading provider of Data Resilience solutions, has announced the completion of its US$1.725 billion acquisition of Securiti AI, a recognised leader in Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), privacy, governance and AI trust. The deal brings together Veeam’s globally dominant Data Resilience platform – trusted by more than 550,000 customers and 82% of the Fortune 500 – with Securiti AI’s advanced data security and governance capabilities. The result is the industry’s first unified and trusted Data Platform, designed to see, secure, govern and recover all data at AI speed.

AI is accelerating – and trust must keep pace

“AI investment is exploding, yet nearly 90% of enterprise initiatives fail because the data powering them cannot be trusted,” said Anand Eswaran, CEO at Veeam. “Safe AI at scale requires more than strong models – it requires trusted, governed and recoverable data. By combining Veeam’s leadership in Data Resilience with Securiti AI’s strengths in DSPM, privacy, governance and AI trust, we are delivering the first platform capable of seeing everything, securing everything and recovering anything across the entire data estate.”

The shift towards AI-driven operations has turned previously dormant unstructured data into both a strategic asset and a fast-moving risk surface. Traditional, fragmented security and governance tools cannot keep up with machine-speed data access or AI agent behaviour.

What customers gain

Together, Veeam and Securiti AI will provide organisations with:

  • Unified visibility across structured and unstructured, primary and secondary data
  • Continuous governance and compliance with identity-aware runtime controls
  • Zero-trust security and best-in-class resilience across production and backup environments
  • Clean, validated recovery of data, models, pipelines and agents
  • Trusted, governed data pipelines to accelerate safe AI adoption

This combination unites resilience, security, governance and privacy into a single, end-to-end platform built for safe, compliant and auditable AI at scale.

Veeam will welcome 600 Securiti AI specialists, expanding its global expertise in AI security, DSPM, privacy engineering and regulatory compliance. Rehan Jalil, Securiti AI’s founder and CEO, will join Veeam as President of Security and AI.

“We now deliver the only platform that unifies Data Resilience, security, privacy, governance and AI trust,” said Eswaran. “This gives customers complete control of their data and the confidence to accelerate into the era of intelligent systems.”

“Together, we will provide customers with a unified command centre to understand, secure and recover their entire data estate. This is about enabling safe AI at scale and giving organisations the confidence to innovate while protecting their most valuable asset,” said Jalil.

Why this matters

Unstructured data—representing 90% of enterprise data and expected to triple by 2029—has become both critical and high-risk. AI failures are frequently caused by ungoverned or inconsistent data, while cyber threats continue to escalate at AI speed.

The unified Veeam–Securiti AI platform delivers real-time visibility, governance, security and recovery across all data, whether on-premises, in the cloud, in AI pipelines or in backups.

What the platform will enable:

  • Organisations will be able to:
  • Understand data everywhere through a real-time Veeam Data Command Graph
  • Secure data and AI systems with leading DSPM, privacy and governance controls
  • Recover quickly and precisely, with cleanroom-validated restoration and granular rollback
  • Deploy trusted, governed data pipelines for safe and rapid AI scale-up
