Border to Coast Pensions Partnership has appointed Kocho as its ICT managed services partner under a four-year agreement designed to strengthen the secure technology foundations supporting its operations as it serves 18 Local Government Pension Scheme Partner Funds.
Border to Coast Pensions Partnership has appointed Kocho as its ICT managed services partner.
Kocho will support Border to Coast through a Microsoft-based ICT platform spanning identity, security, infrastructure, communications, service support, cyber-resilience and data resilience. It will also provide on-site assistance at the Border to Coast headquarters in Leeds.
The partnership builds on Border to Coast’s successful operations and will help continue to strengthen the technology capability needed to improve efficiency, resilience and long-term value on behalf of Partner Funds.
“This partnership is not only about consolidating and strengthening our existing services, but also about enhancing our strategic capability to innovate through technology, delivering meaningful service improvements and greater value for our Partner Funds,” said Steve Halford, Head of Technology and Resilience at Border to Coast. “From the outset, Kocho recognised our ambition to evolve our technology capabilities and transform the way we operate. Their collaborative partnership approach gives us confidence as we take this important next step in our journey.”
“Border to Coast is exactly the kind of organisation we’re proud to work with, purpose-driven, ambitious and clear about the value it creates for others,” said Hannah Birch, Chief Executive Officer at Kocho. “This is a long-term partnership built on trust. We are proud to support Border to Coast as it continues to evolve its capability, and to help keep its foundations secure as it grows.”
The four-year agreement, which includes options to extend, began in 2026 with Kocho’s managed service going live in September. It represents a long-term, strategic relationship between the two organisations.
