Symatrix, an IBM company and a leading provider of Oracle HCM, ERP and Payroll Cloud solutions, has announced the appointment of Stacey Thorpe as its new Managed Payroll Director.
This strategic hire comes as Symatrix accelerates its growth trajectory and deepens its commitment to delivering world-class managed payroll services to clients across the UK and globally. Recently acquired by IBM, Symatrix’ Managed Payroll is a key area of focus for the wider team.
With more than two decades of experience in payroll operations, HR transformation and strategic project delivery, Thorpe brings a wealth of expertise to the role. Her career spans senior leadership positions in both in-house and outsourced payroll environments, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of client needs, compliance requirements and operational excellence.
Most recently, Thorpe served as Director of Workforce & Payroll Operations at global talent solutions provider Oliver James, where she led international payroll and HR services, driving efficiency, scalability and regulatory compliance across multiple regions.
In her new role at Symatrix, Thorpe will lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of the company’s managed payroll services. She will focus on enhancing service quality, streamlining operations and elevating client satisfaction while scaling Symatrix’ outsourcing capabilities to meet the evolving demands of modern HR and finance functions.

Thorpe holds industry-recognised payroll qualifications and is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) where she contributes to the advancement of standards and professional development within the payroll community.
