FourNet, an Avaya ecosystem partner and award-winning provider of cloud and managed services, has announced it has signed a reseller agreement for Avaya Cloud Office by RingCentral. As a government approved supplier for Crown Commercial Services and Digital Marketplace G-Cloud, among others, this agreement means FourNet can offer the benefits of the Avaya OneCloud UCaaS platform to deliver enhanced and simplified communications and collaboration to central and local government departments and other UK public sector organisations.

The government approved supplier frameworks exist in the UK to ensure that procurement by individual government departments or public sector organisations is from high quality suppliers and is cost effective. Like all suppliers on the frameworks, FourNet has undergone a rigorous and varied process taking several months to demonstrate to procurement officers that it has been pre-vetted, can meet the minimum terms and condition (T&Cs) and that it delivers value for money. Having been on the frameworks for six years, FourNet has a strong history of wide-ranging success in the public sector with projects such as connecting Wales, local government and central government including 10 Downing Street.

“As a government approved supplier, it’s important that we pick our technology partners carefully. We choose to partner with Avaya because they help us provide the best multi-cloud solutions for organisations wanting to undergo Digital Transformation. When the public sector goes for this kind of change, it’s a long-term journey and commitment so it’s vital to have a solid partner with which to deliver technology solutions for today and into the future,” said Ben Ryland, Head, Public Sector, FourNet.

Steve Joyner, Managing Director, UK and Ireland Avaya, said: “As with private sector business, the pandemic has transformed the way that people work in the public sector and this means cloud-based communications infrastructure that enables colleagues to communicate effectively with each other has never been more important. With the right technology, particularly video conferencing, file sharing and collaboration, people feel more connected and productive wherever they are working, and we are delighted to be the UCaaS provider that is part of FourNet’s public sector offering.”
