South Africa-based Axiz Advanced Technologies, announced a partnership with Cradlepoint, a global provider of cloud-delivered LTE and 5G wireless network edge solutions, to introduce an advanced new solution expected to fuel wireless wide area network (WAN) adoption across South Africa and the rest of Africa.

According to Axiz, the new opportunities for resellers will offer future-proof Wi-Fi to new regions and markets on the African continent.

Axiz joins the Cradlepoint Partner Programme, which features industry leaders in positioning and selling Cradlepoint’s wireless WAN business solutions by meeting a series of sales, technical and business proficiency criteria.

Through the distribution partnership, Axiz will support CradlePoint’s goal of offering the industry’s most comprehensive portfolio of wireless WAN solutions to meet the surging need for agile, secure and reliable connectivity.

Neil Jackson, Manager, New Technology Business Unit, Axiz, said the partnership brings exciting new opportunities to Axiz partners in South Africa and the rest of Africa. “This completes the puzzle in taking affordable, high performance and future-proof Wi-Fi to areas lacking copper and fibre, or where it was previously not feasible to roll out Wi-Fi,” he said.

The Cradlepoint partnership opens new business opportunities in IoT, mobile and brand connectivity, he said. With Cradlepoint solutions, there are now opportunities to connect buses and taxis securely, take better connectivity to ambulances, police cars and security patrols or quickly roll out WANs at new developments and unconnected rural areas, Jackson explained.

“With its single pane of glass management and the fact that it is 5G ready, Cradlepoint is simple to manage and provision. Cradlepoint has also worked very hard to ensure that we are price sensitive and deliver significant value to customers, making it ideal for the local market,” he added.

Jackson noted that partners gain value adds such as training and access to a global community for information on use cases and success stories, to help them extract as much value as possible.
