FireEye, an intelligence-led security company, has announced the appointment of Brad Maiorino as Chief Strategy Officer, reporting to FireEye CEO, Kevin Mandia.
Maiorino brings more than 25 years’ experience with diverse businesses and a track record of building and leading global cyber and risk management programmes for large organiaations. As Chief Strategy Officer at FireEye, Maiorino will play a key role in influencing the FireEyeand& Mandiant product and solutions strategy based on customer needs. Maiorino will also work with FireEye customers to deploy cybersecurity and risk management solutions to combat today’s dynamic threat environment.
“Brad has built and run security programmes for some of the largest organisations in the world, and he understands customer needs and constraints, as well as the pressure of going toe-to-toe with the most sophisticated adversaries in the world,” said Mandia. “He is bringing this experience to FireEye with a focus on delivering solutions and technology that answer the question so many organisations struggle to answer – are they secure?”
Prior to joining FireEye, Maiorino most recently served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Thomson Reuters, having held the same position at Target, General Motors and General Electric. At Thomson Reuters, he was responsible for leading the company’s overall strategy and transformation of information security.
