Veeam enjoy financial gains, re-affirms standing as go-to partner

Gregg Petersen, Regional Director, Middle East, Africa and SAARC at Veeam Software.

Veeam Software, the Availability for the Always-On Enterprise innovator, has announced that its solutions to enable any business to deliver the seamless Digital Life experience expected continues its momentum.

In Gartner’s Backup & Recovery Marketshare Report 2016, Veeam was ranked number four globally with a 27 per cent year-over-year (YoY) growth, surpassing legacy backup providers who posted flat or single-digit growth.

Testament to Veeam’s momentum are its huge gains during Q2 17:

  • 27 per cent YoY total bookings revenue growth
  • 53 per cent YoY bookings growth on $100K+ deals
  • Reaching a new milestone of 255,000 customers worldwide, maintaining its average of adding more than 4,000 new customers each month
  • Increasing Net Promoter Score (NPS) by 11 points to 73, which is more than twice the industry average
  • Massive customer traction with HPE resell agreements during the first full quarter of the relationship

“To say that the market is changing would be a mammoth understatement; end users are becoming more and more demanding, ransomware and other security threats are having major impact on businesses, and business owners are fighting an uphill battle to constantly innovate and deliver seamless services while remaining competitive,” said Peter McKay, Co-CEO and President at Veeam. “Veeam’s vision is clear and over the past few months we have seen huge momentum in not only net new customers and year-over-year bookings growth, but also external validation. As enterprises move to the cloud, we are experiencing a groundswell of interest in our Availability solutions. During the last quarter, we have raised the bar with many innovation and partnership announcements, and we are just scratching the surface of what we can achieve.”

Veeam in the Middle East recorded very strong growth. Some of the key performance results include:

  • 41 per cent YoY total bookings revenue growth
  • Number of customers now stands at over 2,300 with 23 per cent net new customers added YoY. There were enterprise customer wins across a wide variety of verticals
  • Total number of ProPartners in the region has reached 1,100 with a 32 per cent YoY addition of ProPartners
  • The Veeam Cloud Service Provider (VCSP) programme has enjoyed great success with a 42 per cent YoY increase in VCSP transactions

Gregg Petersen, Regional Sales Vice President, MEA at Veeam said, “According to the latest Veeam Availability Report, 82 enterprises in the Middle East admit to suffering an ‘Availability Gap’ (the gap between users demand for uninterrupted access to IT services and what businesses and IT can deliver), which is impacting the bottom line to the tune of $21.8 million per year, and almost two thirds of respondents admit that this is holding back innovation. Companies that want to succeed in today’s fiercely competitive business environment realise that anything less than 24.7.365 access to data and applications is unacceptable. There is zero tolerance for downtime. CIOs and IT managers are also beginning to understand that legacy backup and recovery solutions no longer suffice as they virtualise their infrastructure and move to the cloud. Availability solutions for the modern datacentre is the way forward. This is driving a lot of interest in our solutions, which is reflected in our strong business showing.”

During Q2’17, not only did Veeam enjoy financial gains, but it also re-affirmed its standing as the go-to partner for some of the industry’s leading vendors for delivering Availability across the Enterprise:

These combined solutions enable users to leverage innovative and powerful 1 + 1 = 3 capabilities dramatically improving ‘Always-On’ Cloud Availability and reducing costs without negatively impacting production
