Ring, a vendor in neighborhood security, announced a partnership agreement with X-cite by Alghanim Electronics, Kuwait’s largest electronic retailer, to distribute Ring’s easy-to-use security devices. This partnership will help Ring expand its reach across the Kuwait market, offering neighbors innovative security products and services.

Ring has become a leading brand in neighborhood security, with products sold in over 18,000 retail stores, and Ring’s products have globally been hailed as a dependable home security solution that can deter would-be burglars from entering homes and neighborhoods. Ring’s Video Doorbell has been effective in reducing burglaries in neighborhoods by as much as 55%, according to an LAPD pilot programme.

As the value-added distributor in Kuwait, X-cite by Alghanim Electronics will promote Ring’s latest suite of home security products such as the Ring Video Doorbell, Ring Video Doorbell Pro, Ring Video Doorbell Elite, Ring Floodlight Cam and the Ring Spotlight Cam and conduct channel engagement, training and activation programmes for partners. X-cite by Alghanim Electronics will also set up go-to-market strategies with key retail partners and provide the needed infrastructure for micro-channel to engage with the Ring brand.

Recent studies regarding the real estate market indicate that the Gulf countries in general and Kuwait in particular are likely to be the most advanced with respect to establishing smart homes as a result of the level of constructional development in this region. The Middle East smart homes industry is projected to grow at an annual rate of 28.73%, in value terms, during 2016 – 2022 owing to high GDP per capita income and growing awareness about smart homes solutions and energy efficiency.

According to projections by Statista, provider of market and consumer data, the market size for smart security and access systems for homes in Kuwait will total $11 million by 2022. Moreover, the growth in Internet of Things IoT and government initiatives towards smart city is expected to boost the demand for smart home solutions across Kuwait.
