Kodak Alaris to present information management solutions at Gitex 2016

David Whitton, Regional Sales Director for Middle East and Africa at Kodak Alaris.

Kodak Alaris announced its participation at Gitex Technology Week 2016. As Middle East organisations embark on their digital transformation journeys, Kodak Alaris intends to highlight how it can solve their information management challenges through its participation at the event. The company will showcase its latest solutions for reigning in data chaos to enable core business functions.

Kodak Alaris will host one of Gitex’s breakfast briefings for a select group of CIOs from the financial industry. The company will also showcase document and information management solutions for the government, healthcare and business process outsourcing segments. Members of the global leadership team from Kodak Alaris’ Information Management division will be present at Gitex 2016, along with senior regional staff.

Kodak Alaris will use Gitex 2016 as a platform to unveil solutions such as the Kodak i5850S scanner, a new high volume production scanner that offers three pocket sorting capabilities. The scanner has integrated stacking and unlimited volume capacity and automatically separates short documents from other pages. It also detects and separates multi-feed documents, and flags documents that need special post-scan handling.

Also on display will be the company’s new i3300 scanner, enabling organisations to go paperless and scan a variety of document types. The scanner is ideal for general office settings in a range of industries and vertical markets, including government, banking, insurance, healthcare, and business process outsourcing. It scans at 70 pages per minute and makes it possible to extract critical data from documents and feed it into a business process or workflow. The i3300 scanner includes a control panel designed to shorten the learning curve for new users.

“Organisations today are managing data from more sources, and increasingly the nature of this data is unstructured, leading to what we call data chaos,” said David Whitton, Regional Sales Director for Middle East and Africa at Kodak Alaris. “Digital transformation presents a clear roadmap to address these challenges. Done right, it will optimise critical business processes by enabling rapid analysis of data. This in turn can result in increased top line profits and a distinct competitive edge.”

“Our interactions with customers and partners throughout the show are key to developing and maintaining strong relationships. We want to stay as close to our customers as possible, to understand the challenges they face, and to guide and enable them in their transformation into digital businesses,” added Whitton.

Kodak Alaris has established service centres in Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Khamis Mushait to provide local support to its customers in the Gulf region.
