Evanssion partners with Zimperium to deliver AI-driven enterprise mobile security
Evanssion, a leading regional value-added distributor (VAD) for cloud transformation and cybersecurity solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with Zimperium, a global leader in mobile device security.
Through this partnership, Evanssion will provide Zimperium’s complete mobile threat defence platform to help customers across the MENA region secure both corporate-owned and bring-your-own devices (BYOD) and the mobile enterprise apps.
Zimperium is the only provider of real-time, on-device protection against both known and unknown threats, enabling detection and remediation of attacks on all three levels – the device, the network and the application.
Zimperium’s patented z9 Machine Learning detection engine uses Artificial Intelligence to power zIPS, a leading mobile on-device intrusion prevention system app, and zIAP, an embedded, in-app protection SDK that delivers self-protecting iOS and Android apps as well as comprehensive app risk analysis with z3A.
To date, z9 has detected 100% of zero-day device exploits without requiring an update or suffering from the delays and limitations of cloud-based detection or legacy security architectures.
“Mobile devices constitute a majority of global web traffic as organisations across industries allow employees access to corporate information using mobile devices. This increased use of smartphones to access corporate network makes it a lucrative platform for cybercriminals,” said Sheik Abideen, Vice President, Evanssion.
“There is a misconception in the market that the mobile defence management (MDM) solutions protect these devices from mobile threats. MDM solutions are good at separating corporate data from the users’ personal data and in distributing and managing corporate applications.
“However, no MDM solution is designed with an intent detect and prevent smartphones from advanced cyberattacks and threats. Zimperium offers the industry’s most efficient and innovative defence against mobile threats which employs Machine Learning approach best suited for enterprise mobile security. We believe Zimperium will address the need for comprehensive mobile threat defence and protect user devices, networks and applications in real-time.”
Akhil Bhutani, SVP, Strategic Business Development, GM – Emerging Markets Business, Zimperium, added: “We are proud to announce the partnership with Evanssion which is in line with our strategy to help expand our regional presence and market-share.
“Evanssion has demonstrated a track record of successfully building business for the niche cybersecurity solutions in the region. Together with Evanssion, our aim is to strengthen our market presence across verticals and encourage organisations to embrace Zimperium’s best-in-class, on-device Machine Learning based mobile threat prevention solution.”
