Veeam Software has announced the launch of its Veeam Accredited Service Partner (VASP) programme, which highlights a select list of partners, distributors, system integrators and freelance IT consultants who possess the necessary technical skills to deliver valuable and reliable professional services for Veeam’s product portfolio implementations.

VASP accreditation is issued only to those with the highest Veeam solution expertise levels. All VASPs meet mandatory requirements for technical expertise and Veeam certifications, dedicated professional services staff and history of successful Veeam implementations.

With a search engine available on the corporate website, Veeam has made it easy for customers to find the VASP closest to them or the ones who have third-party integrations related to Veeam products that meet a customer’s specific needs.

As deployment gets more sophisticated, Veeam recognises the increasing demand from customers and prospective clients to identify specialists that can partner with their businesses. VASP members will deliver high-quality services related to Veeam solutions and help an organisation realise increased reliability, along with greater value and return on investment (ROI) from their IT investments.

As previously announced, VASP will feature in the respected Veeam ProPartner Program, which now boasts over 45,000 members, with a staggered launch beginning in earnest. A focus on including quality VASP members over quantity ensures a level of exclusivity for those looking to achieve a recommendation and an opportunity to differentiate.

The new programme offers a range of member benefits, including:
Greater visibility – Veeam will publicly recognise and promote VASPs as the top of technical excellence when it comes to delivering quality professional services around availability solutions, and aid lookup of VASPs for end-users on the Veeam website
Increased technical services – Access to best-practice guidance and documentation in the Veeam Service Catalogue and Technical Library, along with dedicated senior pre-sales advisers
Demonstration and training aids – Regardless of partner level ahead of joining VASP, certified Not-For-Resale (NFR) licences will be available to demonstrate the Availability Suite in product demos and training sessions
Co-branding and marketing – VASPs will have documentation to answer RFPs, logos and banners for promotions and online marketing too

Scrutiny of VASPs’ technical capabilities is high, with partners featured proving themselves able to meet the high mandatory standards required by Veeam. Specific criteria for each of the four types of VASP member has been developed and includes Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) and Veeam Certified Architect accreditations, along with demonstrable delivery on multiple platforms of related services, and dedicated professional services staff.

‘The relationship between a customer and its IT vendors is evolving. With more customers looking for vendors to recommend experienced professional service partners who can help the internal team maximise ROI and create bespoke solutions for ever-more sophisticated IT estates,’ said Omar Akhtar, Regional Manager – Channels, Middle East & SAARC at Veeam Software. ‘The benefit of us launching VASP is twofold: it helps answer customers’ needs, while providing our partners with new revenue opportunities. With the launch of VASP, we’re offering partners extra support from senior Veeam resources, NFR licences and intellectual property that will enable them to differentiate and add significant value to customers, while helping partners become more profitable from Veeam solutions.’

To join the VASP program a partner should submit application through related online form.
