DXC Technology, a global independent, end-to-end IT services company, announced that it has been selected by Union Insurance, a provider of customer-focused insurance products to individuals and corporations in the Middle East, to migrate its complete IT infrastructure and workloads to Amazon Web Services.

DXC will work with Union Insurance to migrate its datacentre infrastructure and core business applications to AWS. This will provide Union Insurance with greater flexibility to meet seasonal customer demands, a scalable back-end infrastructure and better return on investment, thereby increasing overall IT effectiveness and enhancing customer experience.

The migration will comprise building and maintaining its complete cloud infrastructure, inclusive of license consolidation, application performance, business availability and continuity, and security. This implementation is an extension of the current agreement to support Union Insurance in their digital transformation journey.

“The shift toward digital is taking place in the insurance industry and across the Middle East region, and we are witnessing a rapid uptake of digital technologies as organisations move to reinvent themselves digitally,” said Mark Diekmann, General Manager and Offering Leader, Cloud, Platforms and ITO, DXC Technology Asia, Middle East and Africa.

“As Union Insurance embarks on its own digital transformation journey, we are excited to extend our partnership to help them complete a smooth and successful migration to AWS Cloud.”

“We have a great partner in DXC Technology and are excited to be embarking on this journey with them. As we pave the way for a digital future at UIC, we look to DXC’s expertise in cloud and technology services to guide us through this transformation,” said Abdul Muttaleb M Al Jaedi, Managing Director and CEO, Union Insurance.

“Being able to differentiate ourselves is key in today’s highly competitive insurance market. We need a trusted partner that can understand and accelerate our digital transformation strategy,” said Anshul Srivastav, CIO, Union Insurance. “Partnering with DXC to transform our IT infrastructure will help to position our company as a game changer in the industry while ensuring that we are ready for the future of digital insurance.”

Building on DXC’s global AWS migration and managed service offerings, DXC recently announced an expanded alliance with AWS to make it simpler for DXC’s enterprise customers to unlock the efficiencies and innovation of the cloud. The announcement also accelerates DXC’s strategy of offering independent, capital-light, consumption-based apps and infrastructure services with AWS as a preferred cloud provider while helping further serve customer needs in the hybrid cloud market for large enterprises.

DXC has helped insurance companies to grow digitally with its comprehensive modernisation and application portfolio management services. DXC Technology is end-to-end IT services company, helping clients harness the power of innovation to thrive on change. Created by the merger of CSC and the Enterprise Services business of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, DXC Technology serves nearly 6,000 private and public-sector clients across 70 countries.
