Jacky’s Business Solutions announced appointment as the first value added reseller for SoftBank Robotics Europe in UAE for its Pepper robot. This new addition to Jacky’s Business Solutions repertoire of Visitor Management Solutions will enhance its range of customer service solutions already marketed to enterprises in the government, banking, telecom and healthcare sectors.

- The real value of Pepper is in the applications we can use him for. Pepper is platform agnostic. Since it is used as a customer interface more often, it is important that it can be used by anyone. Pepper has the capability to speak English, Japanese and most of the common European languages.
- But once again, these languages need to be optimised. Locally, Pepper has also been given the capability to speak Arabic but we are looking to work with coders and local developers to create more language interface especially for the UAE where there is a melting pot of languages and nationalities.
- In the UAE, we are looking and have been approached to work and customise Pepper for use in government, banking, telecom, healthcare, hospitality and retail sectors. Since the interaction is playful and non-threatening, it can be used for a variety of customer interface opportunities as well as for internal communications and interface in large enterprises and government sectors.
- Jacky’s is the authorised reseller for Pepper in UAE and will develop and support the sales and service of Pepper in the region.
Pepper is the first humanoid robot created to interact with humans. To support the relationship, Jacky’s will invest in expanding its team of software and support engineers to include programmers who can code Pepper to suit the diverse applications across industries and departments. The company will also be stocking some of the common parts for Pepper that may need to be replaced. In addition, Jacky’s will be looking to expand their network of reseller partners to include those with existing software and hardware resources.
