D2L, which has helped transform learning for people all over the world, is now doing the same for Middle East and Africa. After increasing its presence in the region last year with a dedicated office in Dubai, and on-boarding several thousand unique users in the region since then, the global learning technology provider is set to scale up its regional footprint.

The creator of the Brightspace Learning Management System has recently added new resellers to meet the market’s growing needs for smart learning technology.

The technology provider is now increasing its resellers in the region to include integrated information technology and service solution providers, International Turnkey Systems and Regional Valley for Technology and Innovation, in addition to knowledge solutions provider Naseej Arabian Advanced Systems.

“The Middle East and Africa region is seeing a new breed of empowered learners who want a more engaged and smarter learning experience. Technology providers such as D2L can meet this shift in demand capably and cost-effectively. We are delighted to add D2L’s Brightspace LMS to our portfolio of innovative solutions,” said Ahmed Shaaban, CEO Regional Valley for Technology and Innovation.

“We are excited to partner up with D2L. Its award-winning Brightspace LMS helps modernise the educational experience and improve learning outcomes. We are known in the market for our cutting-edge IT solutions, and we believe the Brightspace platform will augment our set of solutions,” said Muawiya Abu Jubain, COO International Turnkey Systems.

“The Brightspace platform, with its ease-of-use, competency-based learning and cloud-based infrastructure delivers a better learning experience to users, and has the potential to take education in the Middle East and Africa to the next level. D2L is currently providing its Brightspace LMS to high-profile academic institutions within the region such as Umm Al-Qura University in Saudi Arabia, Ankabut in the UAE and University College of Bahrain, to name a few.

Available in fourteen different languages including English, Arabic, French, Turkish and Portuguese, the Brightspace LMS is well aligned with the region’s diverse language requirements. D2L has recently selected Amazon Web Services AWS as its strategic public cloud infrastructure provider, thereby continuing its reliability, security and availability.
